I'm not 100% sure either but i think the front diffs in the 3rd gens are bigger...

 

This is cool. If you made these for a the 2nd/3rd gen I bet you wouldn't have a hard time selling them.

 

Rear is bigger I know that. However ECGS shows only one section for 05+ Tacomas from clamshell on their r&p selection page. I think that's a sign.

I ended up selling it to a friend from work last week.

 

I had read somewhere else saying that but everything I have ever found says that the only trucks that came with the 4.10 are the 2.7l 4-cylinders, all V6 regardless of transmission and trim are 3.73. I want to upgrade to 4.56 in my 2013 and can't believe that it would be a big difference if I was already at 4.10.

 

Hmmm, I thought 6spds had 3.90s or 3.91 whatever? Or maybe I'm confusing them with the fj? Or that's the carrier break? I've looked and drop and go options for a while now. I find myself confusing myself.

If you wanted to go the 4.10 route, source a 1st Gen Tacoma elocker for the rear if you have an off-road and use the 4 cyl front diff.
