ooh thats really tempting, been looking at getting a crf450x street legal bike. Im pretty challenged in the height dept haha, you think this bike is to tall for someone 5'5"?

I mean, if you've got to tip-toe it... at least that guy does it like a BOSS. I'm 5'-7", so I know all about being on bikes that are too tall. I think my 2006 R6 was the worst. Oddly enough, my liter bikes have been better. I think the R6 just had such a wide seat that it ate up my inseam.

 

my gsxr 600 was fine, r6 I think tend to be higher stance.

In its current state, yep. It can however have a lowering link put in the rear end, and the seat can be shaved. I have a friend that's 5'7" or so who rides one. Also, the bars are high up and high bend at the moment, but that's all easily swapped.

CRF450X would be rad, and much lighter than this, but this will get ya there too. Lighter than a KLR and way more fun, but not a BMW touring ADV bike or a full trail bike.

I think you can flip the lower rear shock linkage and it will lower the seat height by ~1" - 1.5". At least that's what my buddy did on his WR250F. Honda might be different. Ymmv.

You could also shave some foam off of the seat pad to get a comfortable height.
