Ya it's a ways for me. And I'd have to take my own canopy off to go get it, but oh well. I listed my canopy for sale once, I had 8 full price offers in 30 minutes haha

Sold. Funny how you always get a few jackasses wanting to argue that your asking too much rather than just moving on after you turn down their low ball offer. And then one dude will just show up, ask no questions and pony up the cash. Oh the woes of selling used shit.

I then repost the ad at a higher price and get offered somewhere near what I originally asked for. Always works for me.

Ah... gotcha. I generally don't care what y'all sell your crap for, but if someone is selling something on TW that is WAY out of line (selling for more than new) then I'll say something. This is a community and not a place to profit off of fellow members... at least that's the way I see it. But if your selling on CL or FB marketplace, by all means, if someone is dumb enough to pay stupid money for garbage, I couldn't care less.

 

My set of five 265/70/17 Duratracs are now for sale. They were measured at 13/32nd tread depth last night. Rotated every 5k miles, 24k miles on them total. They are listed for $650 on CL, but I'll do $550 for TW people.

I've had a few times I inquired about a vehicle on CL that really fit what I was after but thought was priced pretty high to say I was interested but warned them I thought it was worth more in the (insert much lower number than the asking) ballpark, and gave them some rationale for why I thought that was fair and not a lowball. Only one out of the several came back with a 'fuck you lowballer I know what its worth' sort of response. The rest just said they were starting to think about moving on but not really ready to sell yet and that was the number that could persuade them. A few times they even texted me a couple months later when they were serious about selling to see if I was still interested it before posting a listing. And that was how I came dangerously close to owning both a Range Rover Classic and a Discovery II, thank god I didn't have a place to park the D2.
