You want them? For an extra 50 you can have a set of 5100 with 887 coils if you would like.
They should be off my truck on Wednesday and I’ll get them all cleaned up for some pictures too

I like how people try and work around a sign that says " chains required" enjoy your ticket and if the state trooper is feeling saucy your tow ride

The catch is “chains required” doesn’t apply to 4wd vehicles with proper tires.
But I agree. Chains cost as much as one tank of gas. If people live in this area and travel the passes, just get a set and throw them in the truck.

I'm gonna have to try a drive over the pass when it's snowing and see how it goes

Seattle is at sea level and i90 breaks 3,000 feet going over Snoqualmie Pass just 60 miles away. Portland's at sea level too and 26 going over Hood hits 4000 feet, also around 60 miles away. The max elevation in Iowa is 1500 feet, you can drive through more elevation here in half an hour than you can in Iowa in a day. Huge grades on major highways going over mountains means a whole range of conditions on the way up or down, the only practical way for the DOT to visually ensure that people have a safe amount of traction is to see chains on wheels.

All i hear here from the locals is when it snows stay off the roads bc no one knows how to drive in it. Iowa snows a foot and schools hardly late start.

Yea I'll stay home. Not worried about my driving at all, just don't want to get into an accident due to someone else.

After seeing all the back & forth on chains required/not required I decided I should have at least a single set to pack with me. Laclede's site shows 2324 and 2524 (heavier duty) fitting my truck. There's a set of 2524's in Bend for $30:
    https://bend.craigslist.org/wto/d/bend-tire-chains/6994953448.html

Is that any of you guys? Happy to make a deal and a try to get them over to this side of the hill if so.

Oh yeah 100%. Same reason I dont ride my bike on I5. It isn't what I do that scares me

Edit: should still have snowpocalypse 2019 photos running around. That is some interesting photos, videos, filled with people that have no business driving

Just stop shitting on each other over it.

Paint the chains bright orange and call ‘em maxxtraction. We’ll all be bolting them on.

Screenshot_20191022-084218_Gallery.jpgthis was last year when I had a sonata, typical winter day in Iowa. Sucks when I finally get a 4wd I move away and didn't get to play with it. Only thing I miss about that sonata was the mpg Lol
