The only reason I figured it was you, was I've only heard of one person named Kolt, with a K at that, and your avatar popped in my head.

 

Watching guys get a running start to pull a stuck vehicle out with a CHAIN, now that's scary. I watched one fly a country mile once. I lost sight of it pretty quick. At least it didn't end up in the back of someone's head or take it clean off.

Looking for an OV TUNE. What’s your opinions, tune worth it or get 5.29 gears? Looking into running 35’s on the taco

@tonered and I both have it. Tony is in an MT and i have an AT. I'm not blown away by it, but it was an improvement. I've run 92 perf+GL and 92 base. I prefer the base. But the frustrating shift logic still exists.

I'm considering gearing.

 

Hmm so would you recommend getting the gears over the over tune then? Don’t want to waste my money on the tune and then still need the gears to get the job done in the end...

 

I love them too but no one seems to place value on the fact that they are true bead lock or in basically perfect condition.
I've seen OEM Pro wheels & tires go for $2,000 but no interest in real offroad wheels... bummer.

Haha ya, I have loved the truck and put a ton of work into it but it never really got used for the purpose it was built for and I'm ready move onto the next chapter of my life.

I guess it depends on what you're trying to fix. Are you trying to fix the shift logic and pedal feel? Or are you trying to change the power feel?

OV Tune is great, but it's not the miracle that some people make it out to be. I'm not disappointed with it, but I still get frustrated when I try to use the gas pedal to make the transmission downshift, but it just refuses, until BAM, 3rd gear from 6th.

Yeah I’m more on the underpowered side and Bad mpg. Had 33’s, sold them and now want to go with 35’s, but I know driving on the stock gears and the 3.5L will be like driving a snail on 35’s.
