I have a CVT Rainier Summit that I bought from a TW member. They aren't cheap, but I do believe you get what you pay for. The customer service is great and the quality of their tents is top notch. If you're even considering it, you should travel down to their showroom in Bend. Even if you don't buy anything, it's fun to poke around. My wife and I went in there with no intention of ever getting a tent and as soon as we left, my wife was "all aboard" the RTT train.

Customer service and quality are big in my book. Rep explained their outlet shop always has damaged / discounted stock. If I decide to go the RTT route, that’ll likely be the way. Hard shell fo sho.

An unusually high amount of pinstriping.
We picked up one of their Rainer RTT this summer and have been happy with it. Customer service on the phone and at the store was good. Was camped on a ridge in Colorado and had a thunderstorm with estimated 25mph winds hit us in the middle of the night. We didn't get any sleep, but the tent did great. Fit and finish are good and the fabric is heavy-duty. I would highly recommend going through their outlet. Our tent was in the outlet so no warranty came with it, but it saved us a $1,000 so I can live with no warranty. The tent was new and the only damage that my wife and I can tell is some light black marks that the company disclosed on the website before we purchased it. It's not mold, but more like it rubbed up against something during the manufacturing prosses.

I've actually been looking at doing something like that for my own canopy so I can have a steel rack on my truck.

Thanks for the feedback. I’ll be checking on the outlet store occasionally. If their product is solid, I’m ok without a warranty if it saves me a significant chunk of change.

I was thinking the same thing. But a bunch of their soft models will be 35% off so who knows. They get these built overseas so maybe they just have a stockpile. The Mt Baker is a newer design so I can’t imagine it’s going to scrap already.

I really wish they would figure out a cover less system like some of the iKamper models.

That iKamper Mini looks dope. I can wait to check one out when they release it next year.

I might have my magnesium Method Hole 16" up for sale soon. They've got Dynapro ATM on them now that are pretty low but could serve you for a bit.

Someone out there must need or want a CV, trail back up?

OEM CV, freshly rebuilt, old boot got a hole during lift install, no miles put on it with the hole in the boot so internals still good.

    $100

I averaged 21.5+ on a trip to go camping last summer on 285s. They're c-range nitto ridge grapplers and I had them inflated on the high side to 38psi. I do know for sure I lose mileage when I deflate them down low to 30-35. Didn't go much faster than 65 on the freeway, and on the roads to camp I was going around 40ish averaging like 1.5k rpm. It's only happened to me once.

Generally though, I average 18-19 in the summer and 17-18 in the winter due to gas blend.

I'd possibly consider c rated, and the ridges are a sexy tire!
