Trying something new here. I have a bunch of tools and some experience working on my own truck and my own cars and thought Id give this a try.
Im not looking to make this into a full time work just something I can do in the evening to help out who ever needs it. Im don't have any set rates just offering to help anyone who needs it for a small compensation (whatever is agreed on). I can come out to give you a hand or go as far as dropping off your truck and picking it up once its done. Or do over the phone consultation. Whatever you need.
This is mostly for the 1st gens tho I can always help out and learn more on the other gens too. Oh and I can weld stuff if needed.

Without having proper insurance, I probably wouldn't work on other peoples cars... at least not for $ compensation. Even if you're in the right, if you get the wrong customer, they'll make you life a living hell. People are illogical when it comes to their vehicles.

I see what your saying, What kind of insurance would this be? Would that require opening an actual business?

I'm no expert in the matter... but I'd assume you'd set up an LLC and provide coverage for that "company".

The cost and type of coverage would most likely depend on the type of work being performed and the risks associated with that work. Might give your home owners insurance company a call and go from there.

 

Has anyone contacted the seller to see if it comes with hardware and gussets?

Cool. I like the idea, but we live in a very litigious society and I'd hate to see you get caught up in some BS.

Sweet looking 1st gen, BTW. I'll let you know if I have any multi-person truck mods in the future. I think my family is tired of helping out.

 

I kinda want your winch plate but then I couldnt use my light bar I just bought. And I'd need new springs and a winch..
