It was my passenger side that you helped me out with. I do have the drivers side in the crawlspace.

    Sorry!

I picked up my wickum weld (made by some of the same people who built pro tech) off Craigslist. Was powder coated black. A $800 box for $300. These boxes are life time tool boxes. Clean it up and have it painted!
Years ago I wanted a headache rack for my 84 Toyota. Found a guy who was parting out his truck. He had rolled the truck. Only thing wrong with the rack was a little road rash on the very top.

Yeah I'm glad it's just the polished aluminum, and not diamond plate lid, it won't look weird if it flakes and will be easier to clean up and prep for paint. Easier to touch up also with a can than PC. I've heard of wickum but never put my hands on one. All our work trucks have protech gear and a couple of our Kenworth tractors have protech headache racks and boxes. Most of it is 10yrs old but is still solid. Just scraped up and dull from years of use along with diesel and other harsh liquids being spilt or splashed on them. With a few hours of work they'd look almost new again.

Also if anyone's interested in the side boxes, they're 4'rs and he'd probably make a deal on them too. He originally sold them for $2k 6 or so yrs ago and then years later the guy he sold them to was selling them so he bought them back. Best part was he paid $400 to get them back.

An unusually high amount of pinstriping.
That's a hell of a deal for a Protech box! I bought it brand new, but I paid around $700 for my chest-style box.

Not mine, ad says removed from a 2017, judging by the window spacing looks like it’s for a short bed. Price reduced $600...

Yeah I was amazed at the bundle price to begin with, considering there's 2 other protech boxes that also popped on OfferUp. A black crossover for $350 was just listed, the other listed a week ago that the guy wanted $800 for but just lowered it to $600. It is probably the best of the bunch and probably worth the money. He also had a headache rack he was asking $1000 for but has since sold it and only has the box left.

I had the lady with the black box talked down to $275 but of course she didn't respond until was on my way to meet the other guy in Renton.

What seems like a fair price? $150?
