    Oh yeah I know that
Every time it rains hard enough my hi beam light on dash comes on and back up camera starts tripping

I just need to redo my intake
and Might as well do the snorkel

I am not planning to go in deep waters but almost every time I go into a puddle it’s nose down before the truck levels out
And every time I worry about it

They are less for sinking allied shipping and more for keeping dust out of the air box by putting the intake up higher.

That works great when you have a dry, dusty road all to yourself, I guess. Is there an unwritten rule that non-snorkel trucks must yield the lead to snorkeled trucks on dusty roads?

In all seriousness, is there any data to show longer air filter life with snorkel use? When I think of the dust clouds that blow up in dry summers, I think your snorkel would have to be 50 feet high to actually get above it. Maybe the opening should be plumbed into the cab?

The last few years over in Ea Wa I’ve had to stop and clean my filter running around on the forest service roads after sucking up so much dust it put the truck in limp mode. I gutted my liners and put a snorkel on in August and haven’t had any problems.

An unusually high amount of pinstriping.
There’s at least one third gen that lost an engine to those puddles with the air intake in the stock location.

If you were working in the bush a lot could come in handy, some logging roads turn to moon dust once summer hits, love sucking that air in from your wheel well.

You might message the guy, see if he can wait. That way he doesn't sell the truck with it in the mean-time.

    Hey Y'all,

Looking for a roof rack for my 3rd Gen DCSB. OEM just doesn't cut it for the 2 fishing kayaks I primarily need it for. Please let me know if you have one for sale or know someone who does.

I'm in Eugene and willing to go a few hours in any direction if the price is fair. Thanks!
