    I would dust off the filter after a few days playing in eastern wa as well. I want to get a snorkel for this very reason but the only mass produced ones for 3rd gens as fugly as sin. Meso has a custom one but it looks expensive as hell to fabricate.

    I came across my Dorkel from a friend and after it sat around my shop for long enough I decided to throw it on. FWIW i have seen an increase in filter life after rallying in all the eastern wa summer dust.

    that said I think one of the big reasons Tacoma owners seem to add them for is what @Shadowhunter said: if you remove your fender liners and don’t replace the With anything after cutting fenders you have to do something different with your exposed intake
