what’s sema? Got them from a dealer if that makes any difference

I think he is confusing the SEMA wheels with the FN Sema replica wheels. These are the OEM Toyota Sema wheels in gun metal. They are not the FN replicas.

Oh ha I just looked again and indeed they are matte black. Kind of looked like the gun metal at first.

Have these wheels on the wife's 4runner and love them! Just wish they were a little wider for the 285s we have on there.

If these were the fn fx pro replicas I'd be all about it too.

Yea love them too! Wanted to keep them but yea 1/2” too narrow for 285. Lots of people run them without a problem I was reading but decided new tires might as well get new rims haha

If anyone here with a 3rd gen would be interested in something like this shoot me a pm. Just built my 2nd one for somebody (1st one is mine). Both have been for 6ft beds, but the short bed wouldn't be different besides the length. I by NO means am a carpenter. Just started doing this with all of my freetime right now. There are small imperfections, but I'll get better with each one. What is great about this setup and what was my original goals was for it to be..

    1. Easily removable
    2. Can have half the system in there if you wanted to
    3. Can customize the size of your dividers (and they are removable to free space)
    4. Great for camping in the bed of your truck. Throw on a rubber mat on top, foam pad and your bags and you have a nice, dry, level and portable camping setup
    5. Overall to be very useful with no wasted space (hence the hinges at the corners). For anyone with a canopy, a lot of us waste roughly 30% of the space. This utilizes that space and allows you to access things in the back without crawling in.

Figured I might as well continue to improve them to see if I'd like to do this a few times a year maybe. If you would be seriously interested pm me. Thanks for looking!

KO2s can break loose in wet road conditions. In my experience, corners at highway speeds when particularly wet/raining. I know other folks on here have had similar results. Otherwise they’ve been great in the snow for me. Just my .02.

Edit: Back end broke lose for me. Not full fish tail, but most certainly a pucker factor.

I've never had them break free at Hwy speeds... but have certainly spun them starting up at a green light. Must be all that low down torque from this 3.5L :duh:

    Just my KO2 cents...

    Sadly, not much.
I looked high and low for that exact setup for about 6 months. I ended up going with FJ Cruiser steel wheels + BFG kO2, or else I would jump on that deal. Great set of wheels!

as they age yes. new, in the snow they are phenominal (to me) but yes, as you get some miles on them the get lateral slippage that is less than convienient.

seems like a fine price. if someone went skinny tires would 285's work?

285 is the width, not the height. 285's are not skinny tires... you must mean like a 255/80/17
