I know that has been brought up in the past. I have a lot of music on my USB but it seems that Entune does not play well with sorting. I normally use windows media player to sync the songs to the USB. When I try and find my music and browse on artists it is all over the place. Media player sorts the files by artist than under the artist folder are the albums. You would think that would be simple for the audio system but it never works out. When I browse artist it does not pickup on the artist folder so I am searching all over the place. I can search by album but I can't remember all the artist by album name. Anyone figure this out?

I started playing with my file structure I get most of my music from Amazon. I have a music folder on my PC which now I am using to move the files to the PC. The question that I have Entune has the following folders to sort the songs. Country, Christian and Gospel, Rock, Pop. Should I name my folders the same or can the preset names be changed. When I put my usb back in some of my songs were put under other folders IE rock song under country. I know I am asking a lot of questions but I love my music. Thanks for the help

Sorry, honestly, but I don't really understand the problem mentioned, or the solution given.

I do have issues with the Entune and some of my music, but am not sure if what is mentioned by the OP is the same thing.

I use Media Player also. I buy a used CD. Burn it to the computer, then sync to a USB drive. Most of this is fine on the Entune.

Typically, I just search by artist, which gives me the options of their various albums, which I then choose and play.

The issue I do have (which may or not be what the OP is talking about) is when I buy a compilation type CD, soundtrack, or they 'feature' another artist on one or more of the songs. I then end up with a bunch of artist in the listing that I don't really care about, and I want to say those songs actually don't get grouped with the album they were originally on. It gets cluttered quickly/

My solution/work around has been to use MP3 tag to edit the CD info after burning. I typically just remove the featured artist name, or change the artist to 'various artist'. It really cleans up the library in the truck, but takes some time and practice.

If I was keeping individual songs, rather than albums, I imagine it would get cluttered again very easily.

    Any advice?

Thanks again I took your advise and am using Media Monkey. I found some problems with albums with multiple artists on one song which messed thing up.

Hey buddy, what is your setup for recording your vinyl? I have a moderate collection (~1,000) that I'm looking to try to digitally convert so I can have them on the go. Any tips?
