I need some advice. I have a 2016 Limited, which I find has a jittery drive in some seemingly smooth roads. Will the original equipment OR Bilsteins help in taming those 2 first inches of travel in the suspension? Is there a benefit in changing to the Bilsteins? What change should I expect? Do I need to change the alignment if I go with the OR OEM Bilsteins? What's the Model number in the Bilsteins in the OR? I don't do much off-road driving and don't plan to do any extreme off-roading, so I am not considering doing any lifts.

I think the Limited shares the same Suspension with the Sport which is quite stiff and jarring, I would look around for someone the is doing a lift on an Off Road and is selling the original stuff from their Truck.

Is the difference more than just the shocks? Are the springs and leaf springs also different?

The TRD OR suspension is pretty plush - something unexpected as some initial reviews said it was much harsher and is one of my favorite aspects as a daily driver. On the other hand mine bottoms out much easier than other cars I've had.

You may want to take one for a test drive to see how you like it.

I'm replacing my TRD OR shocks within the next couple weeks. Keep an eye out on the marketplace.

My Limited is also my daily driver. But my Toyota Service people insist that the tires should be at 35psi or slightly higher, not what it says in the door sticker, and the ride gets rougher for sure.

I love the ride of my OR. It soaks up bumps and road imperfections nicely.

The Limited/SR5/SR all share the same shocks while Sport and Offroad models have their own respectively. I switched my SR5 shocks out for the Offroad Bilsteins when I found a good deal on some. An alignment is necessary according to what I was told and I had one done. The leaf springs look the same but have a different part number stamped on them.

That pretty much sums up the difference that I can tell. It takes railroad tracks and other harsh bumps with much more smoothness; the ride is just softer in general.

I run at 38 psi and when I go in for service that's what the dealer also sets the tires at. Nice soft rubbery kicks on broken pavement.

R2D2, where are you located? I have a set of OR Bilstein shocks with the front coils available for $200. The set has about 300 miles on them.

After you swap suspension bits like a strut or spring you should get an alignment because you probably didn't put everything back exactly to within 0.1 degree. But, since the rear is a solid axle on leaf springs I doubt there are adjustments back there. So you probably only need a front wheel alignment which can be cheaper than a 4 wheel alignment unless there is a special on the 4 wheel one. Even then the shop will probably only do a 2 wheel alignment.

Are the rear leaf springs the same in the OR and the Limited? Since the suspension in the SR5 and the Limited is the same, has anyone compared the ride between an SR5 and the OR, both stock?

So you switched front shocks and coils and rear shocks and left the leafs prings the same?

Just shy of 10k. I'll have to look at the marketplace to see what they're going for but I'm not trying to get a fortune for them. They're used factory shocks lol.

Tires, soon to be shocks, bushings, and bull bar. No lift, not needed.
Did you get any lift from it? I actually have Iron man springs in my garage and have a deal coming for some TRD offroad shocks and springs for $200. I plan on installing on my 05 Prerunner when I replace the lower control arms with AC Delcos.
