I had a little over 24k on mine when they died. But i did a shiz load of offroading on them, i got new tires when i ripped a 2" x 5" chunk of tread off climbing up a rocky hill. Now with my toyo a/t i have almost 20k on them and still more than 60% tread left.

Update: When I sold my Taco last month it had 50k on the OEM tires. They had some chunks missing due to offroading on rock, but otherwise I they would have been good for another 10k in dry conditions.

I have @ 30,000 miles with my Dunlops. The front is worse than the back. Going to rotate the tires and drive it a little longer then it's time for new tires. I turn corners too fast.

    30K maintenance time.

I had about 35k on my Dunlop Grandtreks and they could have probably gone another 10k but the traction in the rain and snow was so bad that I didn't feel safe with them on my truck. I do alot of towing and the last thing I wanted was to not have traction when I needed it. The back end used to kick out all the time and I was ready for it when it happened but it made me nervouse when I let my ex drive the truck. I doubt that she would have know what to do if it happened. For some peace of mind I decided to get new tires. So I got some Pirelli Scorpion ATR and they have great all weather traction. . They have about 27k on them and are showing little signs of wear...

Bridgestone Dueler H/T's....I have 23K miles on them. There's about 1/4" tread left and I can tell they're getting 'thin' especially in the wet. Rotations every 5K.

I'll probably change 'em this coming fall and especially before winter.

wow, I just looked bak thru the receipts and realized the guy that owned the truck before me bought the Bridgestone Dueler A/T's that are on it now with 25,XXX on the truck... in February of 07. I now have 81,XXX on the truck so thats 56,000 miles on these tires... I am very impressed!!! not only with the tires but the fact that I went that easy on the truck. (Im used to driving sports cars and burning tires up in a couple months at the most)

    im in shock!

Yer gonna get flamed - most people on this site hate the Duellers with a passion (though I think part of it is their justification for buying a new set of tires). Duellers did me 50k easily.

I didn't say I liked em, just what came on the truck, and I like the fact they lasted this long. Im bout to move on to something a lot more aggressive :D

The OP is asking about BFG Rugged Trails...

I do wonder how anyone is getting 40-50 K on them... How is it your driving doesn't wear the tires? Over 30 K, and there isn't any meat left... at least on my past experience.

I have a new truck ('10) with them, so we will see if they last longer than they did on my '01. My '05 got new tires at 20K so I didn't let them have a full life run. They actually are a good tire, at least in Baja and the desert, for me.

When I bought my truck it still had the original Rugged Fails on it. Then 3 weeks later I came out to 2 flat tires due to tread separation...the truck had a lil over 40 on it when I bought it

Im at 51,000 with BFG rugged trails now and still within the leagal limits of keeping them on. I drive a lot of straight hwy so they dont see much hard cornering. I have another set ready to go on but these should last me thru the summer.

first tires lasted 4K miles and were recalled.

replacements (Firestone Destination LE) saw about 48-49K miles of action. could have gone longer, but they were shot for snow use, and were iffy for rain use.

just put Yokohama Geolander ATS last month. per tire rack, they have a better wear rating than the firestones so i spect to get close to 50K out of them

Well I finally laid my rugged trails to rest at 52,000 miles and now have some used Toyos A/T with a little over an 1/8 inch tread left. Great for mostly Hwy driving and the long commutes I use them for. Besides I got the tires for only $100.
