    Are the colors for the top/ standing pads of the coolers a buyers choice? I see the Slate cooler has a black top which is not ideal for a cooler that will see lots of desert conditions.

    I didn't see on the Orion website where you could pick the color for the included top pad.

    I had a Yeti, it was fine but way overpriced. I now use a Canyon Cooler which does the same job as the Yeti at a much better price. I need another cooler for extended trips and these Orion Coolers have more standard features for about the same money as the Canyon.

    Wish I had the funds to jump in on this. These are very nice coolers. I checked these guys out at the Overland Expo last month and these things are legit!
    Being from Flagstaff AZ, I would like to support the local company, Canyon Coolers... but after seeing these coolers up close at the Expo, I don't know if I could resist these Orion coolers. They are awesome. Hands down, the nicest high end cooler I've ever checked out. The cam buckles are a the smoothest operating ones I've put my hands on.
