Nice wheels. They will cherry up that taco. And the AR is a nice touch.

I spotted this stock looking newer Pyrite Mica Tacoma at one of my favorite eating holes and decided to park next to him to get some comparison photos:

Do a search because there's a long thread about this mod specifically and there's plenty of options listed with prices & links throughout. I think the ones that most are using made for these rails is sold by a place online called Grizzley. They're not too bad of a price but shipping will double your purchase price. That's why I opted for these from Home Depot but like I said, just get the good ones to begin with because I've got a few of these that have come out.

That's an awesome idea for a gun rack.

Thanks man. The funny thing is that I'll have people ride w/me who never even know it's there unless I point it out.

Thanks for that information. Done right the first time saves time and money in the long run.

    I. Love. Your. Truck.

I'm also in the market for those rims! I think I've made up my mind on them. You made that truck look 10x better-And it looked good to begin with!

Love the gun rack. I often debate putting any money into my truck but in comparison it doesn't seen so bad!

Sorry man, I'm going to end up jacking your mods. Great truck!

As for you thinking your mods are incomparable to the rest, I'd say you're one of the most unique modders by far. Great job.

Is this rim for the FJ and will fit our truck. I want them for my A/Ts and my stock rims for my mud tires.
Steel rims are just not doing it anymore.

    Bingo.

Thanks man! I appreciate the compliments and by all means, steal whatever ideas you want. I prefer low-key mods and often put 3x more effort in to make something blend in better like it came from the factory that way. Lots of times it's harder than just having something look aftermarket but I prefer clean mods myself.

Yes and yes. Lots of people running them on Tacomas and the bonus is they have more backspacing so you don't have as much issue w/rubbing as you would with the same size tires on a factory wheel. I scored a great deal on the wheels & tires and then sold the stockers for all the money on Craigslist so my out-of-pocket wasn't really all that bad especially considering I wanted better tires for the winter anyway. I was also looking at the fake bead locker OEM TX wheels in gold but when I found these and the price was like half as much I was sold. I was trying to avoid black wheels on a metallic color since my Supra had black wheels. I really liked them because it was different but I wanted something different this go 'round. Either way I'm happy w/how it looks now.

I agree with the perspective about low-key mods. It makes the truck seem more personalized and less "out of the factory". I have learned that any sort of project you are going to commit to is worth going the extra mile on. Reason being, you are going to be using it/seeing it so often that you will always wish you had gone all out. After it's all said and done, it was just some extra time and you reap the benefit of a better project forever!

I also took a little bit better picture of my mod where I tied some surface mount orange LEDs into my interior illumination to light up the cubby to the right of the steering wheel, the one under the HVAC controls, the cup holders below that and the cup holder back by the center console. I plan to add some to the inside of the center console to light it up at night like I did in our Optima.

Awesome mods. I can't believe you thought your mods weren't build-thread-worthy. By far the most personalized truck I've seen.
