Where on otay trail is that? I think I've hit that hill before. Otay truck trail is an easy trail but there are plenty of side trails that can get you in trouble real quick.

It was hooked the only was was to jack it up the rock had a curve in it like a hook. The tires are terrible!

    Fuck yeah

If the truck had been raided it would have made things interesting haha I wonder what the border agent was thinking when he saw the truck

The reason the trail is so bad is the incline is a water outlet so the water goes down it make it uneven and its been doing it for so long there are 5-6 foot drops on the incline now i'm pretty sure the inclines drops are only going to get worse. Basically any lifted truck on that will not work as the problem was the front and rear axle will high center on the drops and rocks. So driving over the drops was the difficult problem going between the right and left side of the trail was also an issue. The problem was the incline and loose gravel basically meant you were sliding down it. The whole way down we inched it whenever going from one side to the other the tires were at a 45 degree angle but the truck would still go straight on 6psi!

The pictures don't show how steep it is until you see the guy in blue, assuming he's standing straight. Glad y'all got the truck out safely.

Ha! Just noticed that this was a thread revival.

Been meaning to go check that place out one of these days. Do some more lead foot baja style driving down there.

Yikes. Glad everyone made it out. Planning to hit this trail tomorrow. Was this an offshoot or the main part of the trail.

After completing this trail, this thread has some essential information I would like to implement on my own rig now.

    Thanks for this! :)
