    I've had 3 of 'em and would love to get a 1st gen again. Love, absolutely love my 4Runner and as soon as she's paid off I may start looking at trucks again. I like the power of the Tundy and all things considered, what I want isn't that far off price wise of a new Tacoma. Sadly and IMHO, the Tacoma lost its luster in 2005.

    I've been trying for 5 years to have my wife get a forunner. I like the old ones with the funny black rubber wheel flare thingy and even the knew front end.

    My wife 5 years ago decided on the mini van. I figure now it's paid off and she's happy I'm getting my tacoma and mod ding to my likes and needs. Sold my sportster for mod money. No time with 3 kids until I can trust my middle son on a dirt bike. Boy has no fear and likes to go fast. Needless to say he wears a helmet on a bike so he doesn't need one to wear permanently.

    She likes all the storage. It's stored with junk. Whatever, I will have my toy and the boys will help me build.

    Oh god! I went to "Customtacos.com" just to see what another Tacoma site looks like, and what I saw cannot be unseen. This guy was asking about spacer lifts and every post after that was basically :thumbsup:. They were all comparing their "sweet" spacer lifts.

    Ugh... its like when you go to Walmart looking for motor oil and they hand you the Walmart brand and tell you its good stuff.
