    Perfect! Thanks alot man....

I also got to thinking....what if the bracket came curved over the hood and came over the hood a little bit....possibly mount a 40 LED bar across the hood. Might have to go into the photoshop thread and ask someone to shop.

oooh that sounds like it could be pretty badass. :headbang:
Might block a little bit of vision though? And might glare a fair bit on light colored rigs...

Hmm :D At work I might ask them and see if they can order a LED bar from Rigid so I could do a "test" fit and get some measurements

Would like to see pics of the proposed light bar. I'd potentially like to mount some forward and/or rear facing lights, as well as a beacon light/small LED light bar (for work).

Also, I have a soft tonneau cover - sits inside the rails. Would I still be able to utilize this?

I personally think that would be f***ing bad ass! Really going to try to get some items to mock it up at least and get a picture

Just went and measured, looks like the bar would impede with the windshield washer spouts which I am willing to deal with and it would have to be around a 50" light bar to work with the already made mounts.

What do you guys think about my 'R' being cut in the center of the front portion of the skid?

    Yes.
Would look good, as long as it doesn't have any structural effects.

Shouldnt have much of an effect, I wouldn't make it too big to where it would weaken the plate. Just large enough to be seen.
I'll probably make a IFS skid for my truck first and throw it in to see how it looks.

Oh, and there's also a mid skid plate that attaches to those 3 holes in the back of the IFS skid that Max has pictured. Pics of that one tomorrow.
You can see the mid in my 'spy' pic though too

Some better pics of the skids:

** The little corners sticking down on the prototype mid skid have been removed from the CAD/cutting files, so those will no loger stick out past the IFS skid.

Also, the T-Case skid is now drawn in CAD and will be prototyped/tested soon so there is a complete line of protection available.

Hey Eric, didn't get a chance to get pics of the bed bars today before it got dark, I will get them tomorrow for sure. Also what's the weight looking like for the skid plates? Any price in mind?

No worries Carl, just get em to me when you can
I'll have to weigh the skids when I get the chance. I'd estimate the IFS at 50lbs, and mid skid around 35. The T case skid will probably end up somewhere in between.
I have prices in mind, and they're posted in the OP. Will try and offer up a sale/GB on them sometime in the near future as well im thinking. :)
Yes, all factory on the IFS and mid skid, but the Tcase skid will require 2 holes drilled

If you decide to go bigger, you could always weld a colored backing plate behind it to make it stand out and still maintain its strength.

BTW the skids look great, interested in seeing the T case as well. Any idea on what you are going to ask for them?
