You’re basically sewing a box with a lid and straps and zippered pockets.

Measure how big you want it to be and add for seam allowance and put it together in an order that makes sense.

Yeah, I get it's a pretty simple pattern. I have an associate at work who makes custom Cordura bags and packs and wanted to provide him a pattern as I know his craftsmanship would be much better than mine.

    Gotcha.
Ill see if I can get you some actual dimensions.
This is my 5th bag of some sort. Each one gets better. The 1st two were not so great. That was a lot of time to get my craftsmanship half way decent.

    Looks like this, mounted:

Here's what the paint looks like after several years: (clear coat is a bit thin and dirt-stained in places, but not worn through)

I have this in a couple threads but figured I'd put it here as well.

I'm still chasing this P0171 code that looks like a vacuum leak...which I have been unable to do.
I took it to the dealer for diagnoses and locate the vacuum leak.
They said it was indeed a vacuum leak and it was coming from the 7th injector gasket. They were wrong.

So, I took the supercharger off...again..and blocked off the lower intake manifold and hooked up my smoke machine....again.
No smoke, but my shitty smoke machine has been acting weird lately.

I decided to do some cleaning with brake cleaner and that's when I noticed the bubbling (smoke machine was still hooked up adding air pressure but no smoke).

The leak appears to be coming from the vacuum line that runs from the rearward part of the intake manifold to the throttle body IAC valve and from along the driver side of the intake manifold where it mounts to the heads.
You can see them in the video below.

I ordered a new gasket and will re-seal the coolant crossover pipe in the valley and replace the knock sensor harness while I'm in there.
Fingers crossed this is it. I'm keeping my expectations low in case this isn't the actual problem. I've been wrong 100% of the time on vacuum leaks so far.

I am currently away from my truck, but I have been getting the same code. I will have to look a little closer when I get back.

Just read through every page of this thread over the past two days. Incredible build. I'm jelly of you guys that go on these trips frequently, I'd love to get away and experience the outdoors again. Very young kid makes that tough, but I'll get back to it eventually.

For vacuum leaks, the easiest/cheapest way I've found is to start the vehicle, let it idle, spray carb cleaner all over where there's vacuum hoses and anything you can think of that's under vacuum. *Be careful, don't catch yourself or truck on fire, do this outside* When the idle jumps, you've found your leak. Use the straw attachment on the carb cleaner to focus your spray. Never had a vac leak that I couldn't track down this way, from injector gaskets, manifold gaskets, cracked hoses, forgotten or broken vacuum lines, etc...

Edit: I see you lived near Poughkeepsie at one point, that's about 40min south of me.

I haven’t done the carb cleaner method in a while. I’ll give that a go again.

Yeah, I went to The Culinary Institute of America in Hyde Park but haven’t been there since 2003. Back in the mid 90’s I lived in near Watertown NY and near Utica. winters are no joke!

Camping with the kids is going to be fantastic!

No shit? One of my best friends went to the Culinary, though it was after '03 I believe. Awesome. Watertown and Utica are definitely no joke in the winter.

I can't wait until he's old enough to bring out into the woods. 19mo old now and getting way smarter than he should be  He'll make a fantastic sidekick!
