So, what are these further tunes you speak of, and what’s included with an initial tune?
I’m in the GTA

 

Further tunes: if you want to update to another tune in future (e.g new release of OVtune).
Initial tune: update your ecu to the latest Toyota TSB if needed and a tune of your choice - either OVtune 2.0 or something like the Mild&Wild tune.

 

I’d be interested in the tune, if it really improves the drive ability of the truck and minimizes the gear hunting.......

Anybody interested in a tune: Will be tuning in Burlington, Brampton and Cambridge this Sunday. Burlington (one spot left) in the am, Brampton early afternoon and Cambridge later in the afternoon.

Any option to revert back to stock to take to a dealer? Or is that the $60 additional tune?

 

Revert back is for free. Usually Toyota doesn’t take a look at the ECU. When I bring in my 2020 to the dealer I just leave the tune on it.

I was looking at their page today they don't even offer the old tuner anymore. Website was a bit confusing as from what I read they don't even offer tunes anymore just the tuner to have a dyno shop custom map it?

Considering it as a cheaper option than gears and 33s my main issue is the trans.

Just had the tune done this afternoon......so far, I’m impressed...
Throttle response is drastically improved, I no longer need to really “step” into it.....
Gearing holds where it is supposed to now, both in city and hwy driving.......
The truck should have been like this from the factory......thank you sir

 

Dave was great! He squeezed me in this afternoon on short notice. I’m very impressed with the response and gear shifting now! Can’t believe Toyota didn’t do this from the beginning.

 

What is needed for a tune? Do I need to purchase the OVTUNE?

 

No need to purchase anything. I would just hook up my laptop and flash your ECU.
