Hello everyone,

Looking to see if there's any OTT tuners near to Edmonton, AB. If not, was wondering what is all needed to tune my own truck.

What is all needed to tune your own truck if you wanted? I’m in Colorado Springs and the nearest tuner is in Denver.

How much would the tune files be? Is it a relatively easy process to tune your own truck? Would it be possible to become a tuner for my area? How much of an investment would that be?

 

On second thought, after looking at the vftuner website it looks expensive to get into tuning other trucks.
@JustDSM if the tune files are free. I’ll go ahead and purchase the kit you linked. That is, if it’s a straightforward process with easy to follow instructions.

ask all the questions you desire, the tuners and users are there to help.

you will need the VFTuner hardware, and license to flash your own vehicle, then you will have to buy a tune file from a vendor tuner, through the vftuner pro tuner network. but, then you can flash, and reflash your truck as many time as you want. and when updates come out, you can get those files and flash yourself too. no need to get back with a tuner. or if you want to "play with tuning yourself" or become a flash tuner for a vendor, you will need a different license, at a significantly different cost.
