With the DIY kit, you get enough "credits" (four credits?) to tune one Tacoma, right? Can you reflash your truck as many times as you want, or does each reflash use up some of these credits?

The DIY kit will come with the necessary 4 credits to license one truck. Once that truck is licensed, it can be flashed indefinitely from that point forward without any additional licensing.

Anyone have a problem with your truck just shooting up rpms when making a turn and barely pressing the gas? Basically sometimes (usually) when i make a turn and press the gas the truck acts like it wants to take off. This is in normal drive mode. Will the OTT tune fix stuff like that?

It’s likely the slip-lock (Partial TCC lock-up) unlocking. We’re quite aware of it.

our revised transmission calibration (part of our tune) does help, but it can still be induced under the right conditions.

It’s something we’re actively looking into and finding a way to address it for a future update.

That seems like a dealership service issue. My truck doesn’t do that.

Quick review and update on fuel efficiency after 500 miles:

Nothing scientific about this but I'm seeing slightly better combined mileage of 20.7 so far with a mix of roughly 30% highway and limited gridlock-style traffic. Similar mix before would see 18-19s

Definitely think the driving feel and shifting improvements are worth it by themselves however I notice I'm accelerating more in quick bursts than staying in the throttle like before and it feels much more satisfying and fun to drive in an economical manner knowing what's on tap if needed.

It may sound silly but the gas pedal really means something now lol

My truck will do this in second gear while making a turn. Usually off a stop sign making a left turn. The rpms jump a bit more than usual. But my truck has done this from new. And it doesn’t happen all the time.

I always thought it was because of the electric steering needing more power from the engine or something…could be totally wrong though
