Creating this thread for everyone that is around the ottawa valley and want to find others to for trail runs or to share their trail locations

there is a bunch of trails close to where we had out yota crawl around.

 

Great that sounds like it'll get the most eyes on here. I'm new to TW so not sure how to do all that.

 

The vencchar trail is pretty sweet out by calobogie area. Seems to go on for ever.

 

Do you have a map/link/gaia for that trail? I'm pretty sure I've done portions of it but can't seem to find anything online about it.

Hey guys, I'm in Sudbury right now, was supposed to leave for work in the NWT yesterday but that looks to be going bad. Which really is really bad for me, I quit my job with Ottawa Public Health and now have no job or home! If any of you are thinking about VMUTS anytime this fall and I'm still here I'd be down as that is one area I have yet to explore.

 

Should talk to @llamasmurf. Knows the area very well!

Also, hope everything smooths over for ya! Off work can mean some down time which is nice.

 

thanks, i like downtime but the uncertainty makes it very upsetting, i had a good job in ottawa :-(

 

Hear that. My work was contract and only a few months at a time. Then had to find a new job every couple months and start everything over. It’s a pain.

Fingers crossed that something comes up for you!

 

I have attacked him with PM's about wheeling on VMUTS. He can now not escape.

Yep I live in North Bay

 

Ya i know that drill. Worked IT contracts then went back to school for public health, got the bachelors degree done then was working on a masters while working full time. Doing COVID investigations and outbreak management in longterm care and retirement homes put school on hold. So all this effort to get fucked by my supposed new employer is mega frustrating!

 

Love north bay, grand parents live there just behind the mall on lakeshore!

any vmuts plans coming up anytime??
