The snowmobile trails should be mostly, if not all, closed by then. But all the machines pack the trails down so the ice stays long after snow melts everywhere else. And you're right water levels will be at their highest then.

It really is hit or miss at that time. I was looking back to some older photos of getting out camping at a tucked away spot in Calabogie over the years and there were a few early April trips when i couldn't get close to the camping spot i like.

I enjoyed that trip a lot. The waterfall camp spot was spectacular. And of course still want to tackle the washout since we didn't try it.

Truck is not a true off roader unless it has a few scratches.:D

Worrying about pinstripes ruins the fun. It is unavoidable. I have seen ppl go home pouting because they scratched their new rig that they kitted out based on cool internet rigs. I have even seen ppl be asked to leave a group during a trail run due to complaints!

the 1st few hurt, but then they start feeling good as the memories accumulate :)

I picked up my new rig on a Friday val d’or qc, got home by 2am, the following day around 7pm i was looking at all the scratches on the new paint!! I wasn't happy on the surface but deep down it felt right :).

Is the Swisha that tight? Like major pin stripping, or just some scratches here and there?

Keep in mind it’s best practice to stay of trails until May to let them dry up. One group of trucks can do a lot of damage to a trail if it’s still extremely muddy.

I was there last July and it has its sections that are tight, if you care about your paint this isn’t the trail for you.

Never done it, but I saw a video from @Tridet167.
I did something similar on vmuts. We went into an atv trail without knowing. A full size truck on a atv trail. Hi hi. Hihihi...
We like to do silly stuff don't we @Windigo?

For the most part it isn't that bad, only on the tighter atv trails.
Part of the adventure is not knowing what you're getting into. That's where you will have the most enjoyable time.

Let me dig up a little video of what tight trail.....

This was in my 2015 JK, i was glad i had doors on that day or my face would have been even less pretty!

this is a regular day in the woods if you really love your rig and exploring :)

    I had this after Sudbury:

    3XEMIRhiGYYrHYhsCbYzwVy-jk7-iDXGfbeY4VNi_12da64c1b2ff328a9ea603205384b34301c4f3d0.jpg

The bedside had been DA polished with Meguiar's compound in the photo. Doors were as-is after the trip.

    I hear Swisha is worse.

F that. I've come to terms with scratches but I'd like to have more paint than scratches

    That's a proper paint job!!

What trails did you run in Sudbury? I know the area well.

It can literally take a 100ft section of trail to turn a clean paint job to a totally scratched paint job that will never ever even possibly look even close to new again :)

What would a white truck look like after this kind of fun? Being serious due to the way all of my totally scratched dark coloured rigs have been.

July 2020... when it got bad we put the 4 way flashers on to see each other through the brush. when it got really bad we had to back off and get on the radios to talk through what we had just passed so as to not run into each other. when it got worse than that we turned rerouted. as @Tridet167 said its only a few sections (i think 3 main ones) but those sections are nuts and make the ATV trails at VMUTs look like a 6 lane highway.

can you spot the (fully loaded with a bed rack and RTT) gladiator ahead of me?
