Ordered the 18" MAX with T nuts for my Taco yesterday. Looking forward to getting this on and setting up an RTT.

    ... and done.

I ordered the Traction Board Brackets from the Max Modular site as suggested. I did have to drill a couple extra holes, but no big deal at all. Here's a few pics of them mounted up on my old VooDoo rack. Thanks again for making great products! Cheers.

You know you could also mount the boards on the inside of the rack.

    That's how I have mine.

Rad. I like 'em mounted that way too! Was actually thinking of also attaching shovel/ax to the inside on the other side... maybe I'll switch them both to the inside? Less 'stuff' hanging off the outside, sleek.

Damnit, I want a shovel, but we're running out of space on the Tundra.

At the moment we have the following on the 14" ALU Max:

    Tent
    Three RotoPax
    Outboard bike mounts
    Traction boards
    Jack

@KB Voodoo How does the long bed rack mount to a short bed? I like the look of having a rack the full length of the bed. Do you have photos of the rear mounting for this configuration?

@KB Voodoo is it possible to position the awning mounts on the rear of the rack? Will the holes line up in that location?

    Thanks-

You would have to drill holes for that.

Ok thanks. I am considering having the awning come back over the tailgate to cover where I'll cook.

Did you guys improve your powder coating? wasn't fun spending another 200 on top to redo the paint to get it done right. other than that solid and great rail systems.

Yeah, the price is improved. It's a little more expensive than the previous racks, but you're getting a lot more.

    Higher value....

yo one thing you could improve to your racks or suggestion to sort of customer input is to remove this, after using it for 2 years and getting nailed into head or scratching burn't back while crawling into bed to reach something, i can confidently say most annoying feature of to date, got banged few times on it. and dont think it serves much purpose anyway ;) eheh specially on the 10" version

If you look at the new racks, you will see that is gone.

The reasons I went with the Max was that I was getting a rack that was rated for 700#, gave me modularity, good company rep, apparent responsiveness on the board, options I liked, at a price that was comparable or better than similar products.
