so I have a 09 tacoma... does it mechanical throttle or electrical?
i just read a piece on CNN, I dont think the pedal is causing the issue, is the electrical sensor that's causing the problem and sending out the signal correctly...

if this IS the issue... toyota has a major MAJOR problem on their hands!

My truck was made in Mexico, but is the 1GR-FE engine made n Japan or USA?

Now I wish I had a 4 runner or FJ Crusier... proudly made in homeland of Japan!

i have no confirmation...but i think the pedal parts in our trucks come from Japan, hence not included in the recall. if i have sifted through the garbage on TV they call the news well enough...i think the affected thottle parts came from factories in IN and up in the great white north. again...this is only my theory. after watching the news lately...it seems as though Al Qaeda is making Toyotas to kill americans. seriously though...FJ Cruiser, 4Runner & Tacoma most likely share the same throttle dohickymathingabobber.

yeah, 4 runner and FJ is made in Japan 100%! But Tacoma were made in Fremont, CA and Mexico, then San Antonio, TX plant took over after the GM joint venture fell thru. I hope my truck has the Throttle pars from Japan...

Doesn't matter where any of it is made if the problem is in the software.

i dont think is the pedal issue, i mean, they have been using these pedals for a while or is it japan pedal better than USA made pedals?? but they changed from throttle wire to electronic sensors has been giving them the problems. so i dont know... I wish my truck was made in japan... hehehe :)
