    Hey folks,
Just for fun and curiosity, is there a place that you store your fob once in your truck and moving?
No need to be smart asses, I know that pockets are the obvious choice for many, but here is why I do not want to do that - I have my fob, which is fairly large with the 24, my wife's fob for her Camry, and a few keys - I dont like things in my pockets. I take my phone out of my pocket as soon as get everything set when I get in my truck, and I have a slim front pocket wallet. I dont like things in my pocket.
So I'm just curious whether or not there are some neat ideas that some might have.

I keep my Fob on a lanyard around my neck. Started doing this when I first got my truck because I was worried I might bump the unlock button in my pocket while at work. I have a Nike lanyard but there are Toyota and TRD lanyards

I have thought about that, but if there were to be a "rattle", it would drive me nuts. No harm in trying...

I like the idea of a lanyard but I might still need a "place". I'm a bit OCD about how things touch me, but like the last suggestion, no harm in giving it a shot.

Satoshi, debadged, rear view mirror bracket, tail gate hose clamps, trimmed mud flaps.
throw a rag in the door cubby, and then the fob on top of the rag. It won't rattle then.

Makes sense. You have given me some ideas of maybe some neoprene or something similar.

I do put my Fob in a cup holder while driving with my lanyard draped over on the passenger side to keep it away from my legs. You can’t lock the truck without taking the Fob with you.

Ive been using the CC, but if I did use the fob, I'd just drop it in the cup holder or that little cubby in front of the shifter

    Don't carry your wife's fob?

Put your fob in your purse?

I don't carry any keys. Other than the one to start my truck, since it's a key start. :D Maybe you can shed some?

I have thought about the CC, and ultimately that makes the most sense because of my odd quirks, but then I wouldnt have a house key.

The bottom line for each of these suggestions is that I have to either make some changes, or try to get over my oddities.

I appreciate all of these and future suggestions. I am just a weird dude. Just ask zacharypaul89.

Not sure about the "purse" part.. I feel like you meant to add "Nancy" afterwards. Thanks for the suggestion though.

Nah. Nancy is my wife. Nancy Drew was her maiden name. :D

In these days of ID variances sometimes you just toss the ideas out and see what sticks.

My man purse has been demoted to small tackle fishing when pond walking.

PS. When traveling more than a hour my pockets get emptied as well. And seriously, in the truck I carry one key, and in the RAV just the fob. So when I exit the vehicle it's really minimal in my pockets.

And I need a new wallet. I guess I should see about one of those slim ones too.

I too carry one of those types of man purse. As far as a front pocket wallet, I carry an RFID blocking pocket shaped wallet and really like it

On a cloudy day or at night that would work. My 07 had two compartments, but the key actually went into the ignition. Weird, eh?

Pocket sometimes, especially if I'll be unlocking the tailgate. Mostly in the center console. I put them deep in the lidded console if I plan to leave the keys in the truck. Although it took me a while to trust it, the windshield mounted keypad works great. I don't have to fret about dunking my fob in the water when boating.
