I can't! Babe on the way... no off street parking at the moment (as we look for a house). Also, planning to use the funds to help with down payment... wish I could. Blah.

OP, please take this truck off eBay and go park it at a friend's/relative's place until you get in your new house. At that point, break it to your wife, very gently, that nobody wanted to buy an old piece of junk and you were forced to keep it.

Congrats on the new Tacoma, it's a good looking truck!

Thanks everyone! Feeling great about the new truck. If I could figure out how to keep the '87 I surely would.

    Figure faster!

I regret selling my 93 immensely and it was a trash heap compared to yours! I got $3,300 in 2011 for one that had rust, bad lower ball joints and a rattling timing chain! I'd be shocked if you didn't see the 80's trucks going the way of the FJ40 over time.

Put your dog and your wife in the trunk of your car for an hour, see which one is happy to see you when you let them out.

Keeping the black clean is lost cause.....I've learned to ignore the swirls. At least they aren't rust or dents.

Everybody wants to tell you how to live your life and spend your money. I can give you a long list of cars, motorcycles, guitars, and guns that I wish I had kept when I think about it, but I don't think about it. Your entire life can be be wasted looking backwards instead of forwards. You got a new baby on the way and a wife that supports you buying a 30K+ truck...enjoy it.

Keep the 87! If you don't keep it don't sell it cheep I have been offered 15k cash in hand for my 85 but it is not for sale. Rust free second gen Toyotas are hard to come by especially long beds.
