My 2002 tacoma pre-runner had lived a full life before I got it at 299k miles.
I added a locker, mud tires and about 1500 miles on my farm before she laid up on me with a rising temp gauge.
Decided I wasn't putting any more $$ in it and sold it quickly on CL for $3000 (it had zero rust, tons of dents/dings/scratches).

Despite having access to the wholesale side of the business, I was not able to find a reasonably priced 4wd tacoma to replace it.
So, I "ordered" a new one. A black 2021 DCSB TRD OR manual. No factory, port or dealer added options.
It arrived 5/28/21, picked it up 5/29/21.

I have now completed my new Farm Truck.
All additions (other than tint/tires) were done by me using a mix of OEM and aftermarket parts. I am a former professional audio/alarm/cell phone installer and a printed circuit board tech.
Here are the details and numbers-

    2021 DCSB TRD OR manual
    MSRP $36,725 Tax/tag $550 Dealer fee $489

purchase price $34,500 OTD with 7 miles

    5/29/21
Camlocker tool box (matte blk, shallow, no rail)- $460
BFG A/T tires 265/75/16 - $985 (gave take offs to a hunting buddy with a TRD OR A/C with 47k on original tires)

    6/1/21
Window tint- $100 (fronts, mobile guy I use who came to my farm)

    6/4/21
    OEM Door sill protectors- $32
    OEM Remote tailgate lock- $124
    OEM All weather mats- $109
    OEM Bed light kit- $47
    OEM Bed mat- $73
    OEM Bed step- $189

    6/7/21
    Cupholder hero kit- $22
    Steering wheel badge blackout- $20
    Static Chalk bags- $73

    6/8/21
    Screen protector-$14
    Glovebox organizer- $18
    Meso Gashole-$20

    6/9/21
    Emblem blackout covers- $22
    Console divider- $13
    Console tray- $16

    6/11/21
    Interior LED kit &
    License plate LED’s- $19

Total $36,856 if my math is good

Love it. My 2019 4wd F250 platinum diesel and 2015 6.4 Hemi Wrangler rubicon are feeling neglected.
FWIW- my first vehicle was a 1981 Toyota 4x4 shortbed and I still enjoy my 87 Xtra cab often.

I’m waiting for my OR rims to become ‘old school’. Lol. But they look damn fine on a black taco.

    Nice build.

I added a lot of the same things to my 2019 SR5 DCSB.

The bed mat and tailgate lock wee two of the best mods I did.
