when you debadged was there an outline from the badge still? I got all the residue off just an outline remains. How do you get rid of that

If it's not terrible I'd try a good buffing and while you're at it give the old girl a nice spa day. Clean her up buff and wax or seal her. She's worth it.

My 2014 barely ghosted at all.

I waxed it a couple times, clay barred it and sprayed some carb cleaner on it. Now you can't tell they were ever there.

(Carb cleaner probably isn't recommended on paint, but it'll get off damn near anything.)

WD40 followed by a clay bar did the trick for me

No but I debaged when the truck was less than two years old.

    I would:
Clay bar (Mothers sells a great clay and lube kit for $20)
If that doesn’t clear it up you can try to polish out with Mequires Scratch X and a microfiber applicator pad BUT it will probably be best taken out my machine.
If you don’t want to buy a polisher then I would ask a local detailer to buff it out. It shouldn’t be that costly.

I think its funny some people still wax like its 1960.
Wax will do nothing to pull it out.
And be careful about using any harsh cleaners. Use only isopropyl alcohol not rubbing alcohol because rubbing alcohol will harm your paint.
If isopropyl alcohol and clay doesn’t get rid of a haze then you know you need the polish.

I de-badged my 02' after they had been on for 14 years and you could see the difference in the paint at first. Broke out the DA and went over the areas with the least aggressive polish I had and it helped at blending it in. Over time you could no longer tell they were there.

Yeah the sun hit it just right today...still see the lettering so probably will polish it! And I did use isopropyl alcohol. But I’ll find someone to polish it
