Mine just started reading bad after I had the windows tinted last night. Dropped it off and things were spot on, after I picked it up I noticed it said -22 in KY when it was really about 30ish. I thought maybe it had to do with the mirror coming down when he tinted it but evidently not. I just bought the truck Monday night and it has 16k miles on it. Anybody find the reason for this? Truck has not had a windshield replacement yet, I asked.

I never figured out what was really wrong with mine. It just seemed to start working again. I didn’t do anything other than unplug the negative cable to the battery for about 10 mins. Give that a try and see if you have any luck. You’re still under warranty for things like this so if anything just take it in

Bump. This. My Truck is maybe two weeks old, 500 miles. Got my windows done yesterday now it says it’s 7 degrees. I assure you it’s 75 in San Antonio. Lame. I’m returning the truck if Toyota can’t fix this crap.

I tinted my windows today as well and as I was leaving the shop the tempe

I tinted my windows today and as I was leaving the shop. I noticed the temperature indicating -7F definitely not correct for Hawaii. After driving for a little bit it went up to 5F but seems to be stuck there.

    Anybody got that issue fixed?

Trying to unplug the battery for 10min trick

Bump. Anyone figure this out yet? Had my windshield tinted today and am having the same issues. Worked fine before, but I noticed on my way home the temp was way off and my auto AC stopped working. Reading were anywhere from 20 below 0 to 60. Seems strange that tint may be the cause.

Same issue...front window tinted yesterday now my outside temp is crazy low, created a separate thread about it before I found this one:

    https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads...my-outside-temp-sensor-is-reading-34f.829323/

I suspect squeegee water from the tint install got into some wiring somewhere behind the dash. Hopefully it dries out...mine seems better today (-35f yesterday, 34f today 19hr later).

Whatever caused the issue with my truck resolved itself within a day.
