Eh, see my Build Thread sig link. Too many mods to list.
Not if you duct tape it to your rear window and drill a hole through it...

Yeah I didn't even notice that. Oops.

Not sure if I want to cut into my dash so I think I will install in stereo bezel or under maybe.

Has anyone been able to find a Fahrenheit gauge with a long enough probe (say 3 ft) to reach the grill??!

It says the probe is 3 meters..which converts to almost 10 feet.

You're going to need something a lot longer than 3ft to reach the front-end. I recently installed an outside thermometer, and had maybe 1-2ft of excess cable on the 3m probe I used. (Keep in mind, you're not routing the wire "as the crow flies"...)

After trying a couple of the cheap thermometer options (that wouldn't fit without dash modification, or didn't have a long enough probe), I finally found one that works WELL. Installation was relatively easy. It required NO modification of my dash and the 3m probe was simple to route all the way out to just behind the front bumper. (I removed the "F/C" character from the board and ground a fraction of an inch from the edges of the remaining left and right LEDs. I was even able to fashion a red "lens" for the front that gives the whole thing a nicely "finished" look.)

I haven't gotten around to taking pics yet. (Sorry!)

X2, may look for a different looking one though, I really don't like red interior lighting or dash lights, and I have no idea why.

Sorry about the delay, guys. It's been a hectic week!

Having now driven with it for a few days, I can confirm it works well. I ran the sensor wire inside wire loom to protect it from damage, routing it along the driver side, and dropping it into the front fender near the battery. That allowed me to tie wrap it to one of the bumper supports behind/below the headlight. I confirmed the thermometer's accuracy, which is spot-on, with a portable laser thermometer. To prevent rapid swings in temp, I left the (metal) sensor covered by (plastic) loom. This works relatively well, though nothing seems to prevent a few degrees elevation in temp when idling.

As promised, here are several photos of the finished product...

Did you just gut the thermometer and glue it with a silicone?! I'm curious to know since I just received mine in the mail last night!

Thanks to Norton for the informative posts!

I am getting the gauge he used and may need another for the other car in the family, as there is no gauge in our Base Odyssey either, sort of funny for both vehicles, IMO...!
