Hey Buddy...haven't had time to do my install yet; however, I did read through you instructions. Very easy to read and comprehend. All my wiring on my console is labled and is quite easy to understand where and how they go and how they should hook up.

To be honest, it migh be a week or two before I'll have time to get it installed. When I do, I'll be happy to post a couple pictures.

    Thanks...Cheers!!

Duplicolor universal metallic from their "perfect match" paints. Couldn't find Toyota black sand pearl locally so just settled on this. I rushed the paint job a little bit but it came out pretty good. A little more extremely dark gray than black though so it's not a 100% match to the stereo surround, but when it is mounted at the headliner you can't tell the difference.

I might go back once it gets consistently warmer outside and redo it with the right paint from automotivetouchup.

Hey man I moved this over here so as to not bugger up his thread with my responce @Rattletrap66 has a seperate loom to connect to the dash lights. You can tap into your tenp to do the same thing but its honestly harder to hunt down the correct wire that does not run to the sensor as well.

Thanks, I'm putting in a switch bank in my sunglass holder door, and have figured out so far that the map lights can be tapped for ground and unswitched "hot", and that there's got to be at least a switched hot in the temp/compass display harness (I'm guessing there's a dash light line in there somewhere since it dims when the dash lights go on and the console can't be drawing enough amps to drag the circuit volts down).

I'm going to have enough wires in the loom down to the dash/firewall grommet as it is, if I can save a couple lines it'll reduce the confusion at least. All the loads in that panel will be on relays, so I'm not worried about overloading the fuse for the console lights with any of this.

What kind of switches are you running? And i just want to say that I have 21 wires running down mine so if your worried more about fitting them or the confusion then you will be fine space wise. Also do you want your switches to be on all the time like your temp display? And can you adjust the brightness of the display like your dash? Just some ideas to think of. And if you have any questions About the wiring side let me know.

Using standard 2-LED rockers like the OTRATTW ones (getting them from STV Motorsports off Amazon, though).

Currently looking like I'd have 7 wires assuming I can get switched power and ground in the upper console (or 8 if I need to run a dash-light power feed up the harness); plan is to run 18ga for most, maybe 16 ga for some since they'll only be running enough amps to feed relays, but I'll probably also run a phone mic for my bluetooth HU in the same loom while I've got the trim pulled off. I'd prefer the overheads to dim with the dash if possible, although now I'm wondering how dimmable the backlight LED's may or may not be.

Catch is I haven't actually bought all the gear that'll be running off these yet and I'm trying to keep all the lines different colors since most of them will end up run through the firewall along with some other wires for a couple additional switches/circuits I'm running from knockouts in the dash as well and I don't want to be chasing wires to remember what's what as I get the outside circuits set up.

On top of that, I'm now wondering about where I might be able to mount an additional switch (again, OTRATTW size) for engine bay lights. for this one, I've got the lights all put in and wired up, but no switch to power them, and probably won't be using a relay for them since they're all LED and shouldn't draw a full amp all told and it only needs one wire at most through the firewall since there's plenty of spots to ground in the engine bay; thought about putting the switch under the hood, but don't want its backside sticking into the wheel-well and I'm hesitant to punch a hole in one of the crumple-beams along the sides which don't look deep enough anyway.

Finally, is it safe to run a loom down the A-pillar without interfering with the airbag? I've got an Access cab (no permanent B-pillar), so the alternative is to go to the Y-pillar, which is possible but a little more annoying.
