    Hello,

I have a 2021 DCSB TRD OF. I'm going to be transporting about 1300 pounds between people and gear in the cab and weight in the bed for 300 miles on Monday. Will this be a problem? My door jam states 990 payload.

    Thanks

I carried 1300 lbs of concrete bags in my sr5 with no issue, plus was towing my 5x10 utility trailer with a mixer and gear in it at the same time. Truck had barely over 500 miles on it at the time. To date its never run better.

I'm just worried about the distance I'm traveling with this payload. I wouldn't be as worried if it was just across town.

Don't worry. Be careful. Brake early.

You have a factory towing package, you could get a small U-haul trailer and just have people in the truck. This is the best solution.

Running overloaded is not a great idea obviously, loading the heaviest objects to the front of the bed and adding air to the tires will help it drive better. You can air up to the maximum pressure listed on the tire sidewall.

Airing up makes the tire stiffer which improves handling and also makes the tire run cooler which helps prevent blowouts.
