I have the just completed my over head console mod on my Tacoma. I took the factory console and cut out the lights and the sunglasses holder, took a peice of foam shaped and wrapped it with fiberglass. Then I installed the foam block in the console with 2 more layers Of fiberglass. I then sanded and bondoed the exterior and sprayed the exterior with bed liner.

Nice Job! I mounted mine in front of the cup holders in the back. A cobra dx IV. Ran the coax under seat through the kick molding up the rear access cab door to a magnet mount k30

My only suggestion...find a speaker grill and cut the hole out under the speaker completely..would make it look more finished. Other than that..great job !

Ditto. The vent holes make it look ghetto.

Thanks for the tip guys. Great idea. This is why i like this fourm. The speaker vent holes didn't turn out as good as I wanted. Other than a junk yard, where would I get one?
