Overhead compass fix Resistor hot to touch

    I managed to take my compass down and just pushing on the 510 resistor the compass works. Problem is when touching the resistor it gets really hot in which you cannot touch it for more than a second. Is this normal? Thanks for the response!

    This is why there are two resistors in parallel, and also the main reason why those resistors end up working loose.
