Mine didn't work the first time, turned out the side that didn't look broke/cracked wasn't making a good connection. I re-soldered both sides and it worked. Maybe give it another go?

Yeah about that... i did all four just to make sure. At first i did just the one that looked broke and it came on then when i reattached everything up there it went out again so i brought it down and soldered everyone just to make sure and nothing.

I did mine a few days ago, even though all the connections looked solid. I soldered all 4 points and it worked like a charm after not having it for over a year. Easy DIY fix for those who need it done. Now, let's just hope it lasts.

Btw, the dealer quoted me $300.00 just for the board, never mind the install

Check the pressure in your spare underneath. Often overlooked. ;)

Thanks for the tip. Dealer wanted $240 to repair. Resistors looked fine, but I put a dab of solder on them anyway...works fine.

I tried to fix it, it didn't work. I think I'm gonna try to find a smaller radar detector and figure out a way to mount in in place of the temp gauge. Anyone heard of this being done before?

I just did the fix for compass thermomiter. It was a delicate operation. My 510 chip was totally disengaged. I heard something rattleing around in the component and the little chip fell out. I lost it twice on the floor before I was able to resoulder the damn little piece back in place, but I got it and it works. Thanks alot for the great advice. I'm so glad I found this site. you guys are awesome. I did break one of my little plastic clips though. we'll see how the super glue works.
