You're clearly overlooking the shiny primer paint, special grill and extra electronic baubbles. ;)

The interesting thing to observe will be 10 years out. What will the % of Pro original owners rolling 150k or so units be compared to those that have already been traded for the next new thing?

That's just after sunrise here. What happens when it's actually hot?

Maybe. Not likely, but it can happen. But it would not be spastic, it would be consistent. Have you been offroad enough to have your condenser/radiator/trans cooler fins filled with debris though?

Dunno. Think she might have reasonable judgement, at least on this topic. :D

Just be sure to instruct the dealer to order it from the unicorn plant in TX, and then enjoy the best truck ever made along with the rest of us unicorns here on TW with no issues

If I could "upgrade" to a brand new 2004 TRD 4x4 DC for $25k I would drop this "technological marvel" 3rd gen in a heartbeat.

The older stuff gets the better it was. Truth is every vehicle has their own special warts and skeletons and quirks. People just forget because... time.

The difference is PROs are mostly driven by PROfessionals, so they have fewer problems, being people who's job it is to drive Tacomas...........wait a minute.......is it just me, or is "pro" kinda a funny thing to call these trucks? They are super cool and all, but is there any actual real-life situation that requires a 'professional' Tacoma? Is the hood scoop on the pro functional?

The faux hood scoops on all of them function perfectly as a hindrance to sight lines, but not much else.

But folks love the scoop for the appearance/style of it.

Plus their hoods don't separate :bananadead:

    Time is right...
I remember back a ways, auto makers only had 12k/12mo warranty on their vehicles and they required constant tune-ups and everybody got left on the road sooner or later if they didn't do something to them.

And most everyone knew how to change a spark plug or fix something on them

    Look at us now though...
I like the new stuff, but long for the simplicity of the old
