Not hating, just trying to figure out WTF you actually have. Besides a lot of sunk costs.

    It's been done.

If you're good at reading wiring schematics, and can confidently depin wires and relocate them to the right location, it can be fairly simple with the right parts needed for the swap and end up looking as if it came that way from the factory, vs a hacked and spliced harness. One thing Ive read, and is constantly reiterated, is that where ever you get the donor motor from, get everything attached to it including the wiring harness, ecu and transmission/tcase. It can be quite the headache trying to piece it together from multiple donor vehicles. Motor mounts will need relocated along with the transmission cross member. Drive lines will also need to be shortened and or lengthened. Radiator top hose and bottom hose are on opposite sides so you'll need that too.

Theres another guy from Guam that's swapped one into a single cab. Can't find the thread at the moment.

Also there's a few threads of guys who have swapped the 4.7 into older Toyota mini trucks and 4runners on pirate 4x4 or yotatech forums.

    http://lmgtfy.com/?q=4.7+swap+site:yotatech.com

The 1uz is a popular swap too.

Interesting read or lack there of, but this thought has crossed my mind for way down the road when the engine finally gives out. I surprised no one has mentioned the 5.7 as a possible option.

I think the dude from Guam with the 4.7 was researching the 5.7 for his truck.

When I get up in mileage then I will really look into it, I have always wanted to do a rebuild on a vehicle but this is usually done on an old pickup/muscle car. If he really gets into it and starts posting some details then I can always start gathering parts from a local junkyard.
