With my racks being level one to another, I just make sure I don't load stuff on the rear of the cabrac where the rod will be going. I actually had it set up to were it fit between my rotopax and pelican case. Now I carry an alubox up there and it comes down when we get to camp which leaves the area open for the tent rod.

MT stuff, RTT stuff, the usual.
Someone in the RTT thread mentioned using a bungee to the roof rack.

Awesome good news! I was thinking way too into it.. Wondering what would be most effective I considered the thought of drilling another hole or borring out the hole. I always have bungees with me too. Will be trying out the bungee mod next weekend, going to the Adirondacks.

@Crom ...well I take that back - the damn things arrived today ! They were not listed as a prime item and showed estimated delivery of late October but it turned out the seller was actually Grainger ? Arrived in Grainger packaging via UPS ...drop shipped from Grainger in Mira Loma.

Nah, the 300+ days of sunshine really gets old out here and these wide open spaces are completely over rated. Do you know I have a minimum of three pairs of sunglasses? You're better off back East. Your baked beans are much better than ours.

Yea I didn't believe it until last night when there was one running from the local crowd at the bar in Boston last night. Probably got his ass kicked but served him right given the severity of the situation. I'm sure you'll hear about the incident on the news.
