True, but although the NL kit is expensive, it has several nice, useful features that also increase it's value. There are cheaper ways to set up a dual battery, but it's difficult to find a more comprehensive and quality kit than the NL. Worth the cost IMO. Its still on my list of future mods.

Yea I was looking at that, but after that plus the batteries... that is an expensive expensive system at the end.

I knew the whole systems are expensive but I didn't realize that the tray was that much.

I just picked up this trailer this weekend. I'm hoping to have it ready to camp within a couple weeks. We have a 3 week trip planned and it will be nice to finally have a trailer.

That's the plan. I will be moving the tent and most of the big stuff to the trailer. It will make base camp camping and exploring a little bit easier.

What are you folks running for water tanks? I have been eyeing one of the front runner tanks which i will put strapped down at the front of my truck bed. The cost is bringing me down though, 200 bucks. The cost per gallon is cheaper on the front runner (10-15 gallons, $200~) than getting those good looking, but spendy rotopax's for water (4 gallons, $100+). Anyone have a source for good quality tanks at a reasonable price? I want 10-15 gallons in capacity.

You could always run 2 5gallon cans on a bumper?

I have a bumper on the way with dual jerry can mounts and I was planning on running gas cans in there. Ive read about leaking rotopax gas cans and so I am looking for metal jerry cans as well :)

Well then for the roof, best bet is probably that 10 gal frontrunner tank. I like frontrunner stuff but pricey

You can always go with an RV tank. They make them in different shapes and sizes to fit your space. You can have one with all the plumbing and a 12v pump for less that $200.

Sweet! Thanks for all the quick input! Those front runner tanks are #EAF and if I ever find someone selling one for cheaper, im all over it.

I really like the idea of that aquatainer. Since we are headed out camping this weekend, i searched and I have found some of those locally. Im going to snag some of those for the mean time. I have the pressurized water kit from this thread (https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads...a-tacoma-round-2.453005/page-26#post-15389746) so ill just drop the intake into the container and should be good to go!

    Mostly stuff I built.
Ran into an issue with having my truck set up as base camp on our last trip out. Had a flash flood and had to extract some members of our party from the river the delay from rigging down almost caused a major issue. Trailer build is now on the top of my priority list.
