#2 seems like a great way to be decapitated. Is the hi-lift the only thing keeping the truck up?

    Great pics!

I've been searching & think this is the best place to ask!

Does anyone have any issues running a fridge in the truck bed without a cap? Specifically a Dometic fridge. I'm wondering how it holds up to weather & the elements long term.

I see fridges mounted in the bed all the time. I think the only real issue you will have is the fridge working harder if it is in direct sunlight. Get an insulation wrap and you shouldn't have to worry about the sun causing problems but it might also hold water if it gets wet.

Most of the fridges have an available insulation blanket that fits. It really helps it to maintain temps without running all the time.

Sorry, I understand know. Most of them look to be fairly waterproof but I wouldn't want to leave it wet more than a day or so. I would bet that a treatment from Nik wax would go a long way to help waterproof the blanket.

I have a Dometic 65DZ with the insulation jacket so sun & temp regulation isn't the concern. Rain & snow are however.

Curious if there is any issues with the electronics in the fridge near the compressor being exposed to moisture.
