Don't get the ARB. They are sweet fridges but I have had nothing but good luck with my Whytner fridge.

    Amazing fridge.

    Angles are worse.

Not sure why they made e, like that. Honestly there are more and more different brands out there to choose from.

Well...I'm a go big or go home kinda guy.. :p so I'd go for something else haha plus they look better.

Check out Elite offroad, relentless fabrication, brute force, pelfreybuit, famous fabrication, allpro.

Much better looking bumpers with customizable options that work just as good if not better.

    Agreed

Just put em down as I thought of em

Personally if I was a 2nd gen I think, if I wanted solid plate I'd go elite for 05-10 and pelfreybuit for 11-13. Brute force for a tube/hybrid bumper.

You mean 05-11 and 12-13? Personally I have to go with Pelfreybilt because its what I have and its made with amazing quality. But I have heard good things about Tim and Billy and I'm sure you cant go wrong with any of the 3

Funny you people mentioned that. I just got the 85 http://www.whynter.com/productdetail/outdoor_living/portable_fridges_freezers/309 wanted that dual zone, but everyone was out of stock. I feel i got a smoking deal on it though. $550 to my front door. Only real 2 negatives I read so far are 1. Some of the harnesses come loose in shipping. 2. Some of them have a rubber/ electronic smell to them when they are new.

I did want to modify it to better handles similar to the ARB so when I decide to tie her down in the bed, I'm not stressing the quality of the handles. Or going to tight. Besides, at 75# - 80 Watt - 85 quarts , not small.

So all in all. I think it should be a great one.

I also have the Power Bright 12v DC to AC 2200 Pure Sine Inverter (2200w - 4400w peak) in transit. Happy father's day to me.

Next addition was possibly modifying my Leer topper. Was thinking of getting some high efficiency Solar Panels and retro fitting them as the glass on the side. Dual purpose. I have even seen some panels that are see through as an actual window application for houses. Will see how my research turns out though.

Yeah they are not the best but that is not ARB's focus. Their focus is an all around bumper originally designed for fending off kangaroos in the outback. Not too many walls to climb in the outback. But I had to climb a 12' wall in Moab this year and the ARB scraped up the wall just fine. :D

Keep mind too they have tons of hours in R&D on their bumpers for safety and numerous corporate accounts that they sell too. Hands down from a safety stand point I would stand behind my ARB any day. Plus I got it for a steal so I am just gonna roll with it. :D

I will be watching your results for sure. Just destroyed my conventional cooler in Moab this year. I will be looking for a fridge here soon.

X2 yep. Lots of r&d and an animal killer.

I like my flat ledge on it too. Nice place to sit, rest my feet when on the hood, set s drink, set tools, etc. Pkhs with them being around so long, they look almost like they belong/ stock on certain vehicle's.

Visually appealing and modern feature rich, I had my eyes on the one with the integrated led bar.

But, not available for my model year.

Besides, have you seen the ARB color matched? Looks nice.

I am put off that this brand has been out for years and nothing on YouTube about the fridge/freezer.

I already decided I will do a video review on it. Then a follow up vid or two after a few weeks and months. As well as an unboxing. Seems from what I read, it is popular in the rv market.

Someone mentioned a -20° f r eezer? This hoes to -8° and feel thats plenty cold.

I am not getting the cooler bag for it. Will be using other means to insulate it further and a textured exterior possibly for hook n loop. Bottle opener too. I need to check the gauge of ghe steel used first before the additional mods are started.

Might even do a full teardown video depending on the construction of it.

This model has no interior light also. So keep an eye out for that. I might decide I need that.

True about the harness. I had read reviews that this was a possibility. When I got my 65qt I pulled the panels off near the motor and tightened down everything and have not had a problem since. The handles on mine aren't bad. I had the whole thing filled with liquid in Moab and anchored it to the back of the rear seat when it was folded down and it did wonderfully. The smell is easily removed with a lightly soaped cloth.

Checked out what I did with a set of the Harbor Freight Panels. Kinda hard to see in the pics. But I built a custom tubed roof rack and permanatly mounted them up there. I'll try to get some better ones today or tomorrow. Now that the truck is cleaned off.
