That was the effect I hoped for but you know he will be rubbing it to yours over mine. Yours is much nicer and well thought out.

    I bought this:

    http://www.amazon.com/LUCID-Mattress-Topper-3-Year-Warranty/dp/B00GP4RJUO

I haven't put it in the tent yet, but I checked measurements to my Tepui tent and it's a great fit. 2" wider than the Tepui mattress, but 20" shorter. That last 2' of room is always where I store my clothes bag, shoes, etc. so I didn't need a double layer there. The extra 2" width should just wedge right in and provide full side-to-side coverage. It's cut to fit a queen mattress. It comes vacuum sealed in a bag and has to be allowed to expand. Mine was fully expanded again within 24 hours. I know it will fold up in the RTT because I usually fold up my big 2 person 0 degree bag in there and I can still close it all up perfectly. I'll just take the sleeping bag out and leave the foam in there.

I figure once I set up the tent at camp, the foam should expand to comfy thickness in a couple hours. Even half compressed, it's still a comfy extra layer. By the second night, it will be full size.

I checked a local textile shop for a cut piece of 2" medium density foam in the same dimensions, and it was over $120!! This option was much better.

I don't have memory foam.. But do have toooons of PU foam (open cell) I could cut and maybe use for mattresses.. Or at least put under the included memory foam..
