Just a bunch of old crap
Since it's my first Overland Expo, I want to be close to the action. Once I'm set up, I don't want to have to drop the RTT and pack everything up just to drive over to the expo grounds to see everything. I plan to walk every where. Otherwise, I'd be with you guys on Thursday night for sure. You'll likely see me on Saturday though, as I think I'll see everything and get my fill on Friday. It depends on who I'm camped around, and if I make any new friends that I decide to stay with.

Onsite I'm pretty sure just don't be a dick are the only rules. Gotta pay though. Offsite is cheaper/free.

Gotcha can we have fires on site cuz my tent sits on top of truck so rather set stuff up once instead of taking everything down and putting stuff up everyday kinda leaning towards on site I think it will be easier with the family

That is the reason I am camping onsite. I don't want to pack up everyday. I'm 99% sure you can have pit fires.

Without the bed, and having a full size spare in my trunk until I get my rear bumper, I have to buy a fucking car carrier that goes on my tow hitch for this trip... Lame.

Thinking about it. Really depends on what my dad wants to do. I don't get to spend much time with him so I'm in for whatever he does.

For sure, we understand on the dad front.

But just so it's known that the actual expo is on a dry lake bed, surrounded by hundreds of other campers in various setups haphazardly layed out.

Nor is it a massive setup...with only chatting with a few people, my buddy and I walked thru all the vendors in a few hours a few years ago. So not Sema/Vegas sized, but enough to make a day worth it.

The classes and demos are probably a different story. And what your interested in, shopping for and discussing.

Much of the surrounding area is of a different scenery and terrain.

But I can guarantee the TW camp won't be quiet either. :bananadance::cheers::devil::headbang:
