Tell me more about Schnebly Hill Road. I found it on Google Maps. What level of difficulty is it? I'm from the east coast so I have no experience on dirt roads out west. Looks pretty scenic. Would you suggest Horseshoe Bend as a day trip in itself?

I actually have no idea, my plan is expo Saturday then find out where everyone else is camped for that night.

Schnebly Hill road is a rocky washboard road that's uncomfortable even for most UTVs, although VERY scenic on the Sedona side of it. Pretty sure a crossover or even a sedan could drive it no problem

Well guys, I made it to Roanoke, Virginia last night. Me and the pup stayed at a friend's house. Hope to be on the road around 8ish. Heading towards Memphis or further west if possible.

To sum it up, as a huge foodie:

-Mexican food is very Regional, much like American BBQ. What seems like legit Mexican for some may not be legit, or "like back home", because they're used to Mexican from a different region.
-"best within 50 miles" or "best in the area" doesn't make it great, just better than the immediate competition.

In my experience, most Mexican food in AZ is Sonoran style, which has most of the tacos being subpar at best if you like street tacos TJ style (my personal favorite). Very few legit street taco places to me, but with Mexican food being Regional it's a given.

My experience is that I judge the quality of the taco buy how hungry I am and how close it is to my plate. I don't discriminate either as I believe all tacos have the right to be eaten.

I'm a simple man, I tend to judge the authenticity of Mexican food based on how massive of a pile of rice and beans comes along with. And as an honest-to-goodness Philadelphia transplant, I have yet to be brave enough to try to find a "Philly Cheesesteak" out here.

So anyways, I'm considering making a day trip up to at least check this expo out... Would you guys say it was worth a trip from Phoenix if you were just gonna show up, get a day pass, and stroll around looking at the vendor tents for a few hours? Also wondering if it's frowned upon to bring stuff you're looking to sell, as I've got a 6ft bed Bestop and some other accessories I'd like to sell.

I say go for it. I actually learned a few things last year that have since become useful. You'll probably also find new stuff that you didn't know you needed because it's just money, right? The expo also had (and has) me rethinking my life...if these explorers can make a living out of it, why can't I?

I'm pretty sure that bringing stuff to sell/trade wouldn't bother anyone.

OK Cool, I just wanted to make sure I wasn't missing something obvious / breaching some code of conduct. For instance if you're at a charity swap meet where you are expected to buy a table to sell, kinda a dick move to show up with a truck of parts and try to wheel & deal.

I've heard that like 10x already.

Well when you justify it that way... I may see if I can wrangle a friend to go with me too.

Pretty sure you can't bring things to sell unless you have a tent. I don't know how enforced that will be but I know the vendors have to pay for their spots
