Overland Rig Possibility

Overlanding is OVER-rated. Depending on your job in the Army your ass is gonna be overlanding for work with a bunch of sweaty dudes.

My real suggestion is buy a hard topper for your truck and build some storage area (if you need it, you'd be surprised how light you can camp). You can drive where you want, carry your gear with you, and sleep out under your hard topper. You'll be broverlanding and won't look like an utter douche driving around with half a campground strapped to your truck.

 

That's the beauty of the aftermarket world, I can try to look like an utter douche if I wanted to lol the actual setup is still under progress of what I want to do, this was just moreso what vehicle to do it with

I’m guessing Ft Leonard Wood aka lost in the woods and he’s likely Military Police. Sooo riding in cars/trucks most days.

 

Over landing ....My step son just got out of the Marine Corp and the LAST thing he wants to do is go camp .... I’d say do your service they will keep you more than busy and then decide
