What made you decide 5.29's instead of 4.88's with the 35's?

Also, I see you go back and forth between spare tire in the bed vs swingout. How are you securing it in the bed, and what happens to the fridge when you do?

The only reason i went 5:29 is for 37’s

currently I’m still running 35’s and hate it the gas mileage was better when i was stock

The swing out is nice to have, but it also gets annoying in my opinion. When we built it, we put it on heims so i could take it off when needed.

I actually snapped the swingout in Moab and need to still replace it but haven’t had the truck out in a bit as I’ve been doing some maintenance.

if i don’t have the spare on the swing out, I’ll leave it at home. Or if im doing a day trip, just put it in the bed with no fridge. With the 35’s and beadlock, the tire is so heavy it doesn’t really move. I have been contemplating purchasing the SDHQ chase rack for the bed but i haven’t completely decided yet

    Here’s so pics from Moab.
I did my break in on my gears on the way to Moab, changed the fluid and then wheeled the whole trip. It was a blast

That makes sense. I'm looking at 4.56's to use with 33's knowing I'll likely upgrade to 35's, so I'm also considering 4.88's... but the 5.29's just caught me off guard. 37's sound reasonable for them though. Really starting to push it with 37's and IFS!
I have dual swingouts on my bumper, and I'm to the point of removing them and strapping my spare to my Decked drawers. The swingouts are a pain to open, they're extra weight, and I never use the fold down table.

I've also looked at those chase racks.

Basically, so many options out there and they're all appealing for one reason or another. :goingcrazy:
