    Overnight in San Fran!

Headed out that morning down the 1. Few hours of highway road got me a little dirt road sick and I wanted to take a short detour which ended up taking a few too many hours...stuck.

A few hours later we got out of that mess and we’re on our way to Ave of the Giants to see the giant Redwood and Sequoias.

We then moved along up the west coast to Oregon. We found this sweet FS road that led us to our camp along the river for the night. Totally secluded it was a perfect spot!

few things I did prior to the road trip I didn’t post.

Mounted the max traxx to the Thule tacks I installed a while back
    77620545-AA7F-489E-97D3-969087091A5B.jpg
Ultra gauge in a mesocustoms overhead mount to tack fuel mileage and various other stats while on the road. Not sure how I achieved 30+mpg average :notsure:
    298EDC9F-59C4-49C6-8E59-6779AB8B45B3.jpg
Mapped out the route on the Garmin overlander and mounted for easy access
Paired with the wireless rear view cam since I’ve blocked my OEM can now.

Camp lights installed I used some rigid amber rock lights. Rigid came in clutch with these thick angle mounts worked perfect for what I wanted!
    29F7C3BF-D3E1-4F40-BA86-A52AC321CA4F.jpg
Added some rago rock light mounts in combo with the rigid angle base for the rear

I missed my anytime rear cam button dearly so I swapped the wireless Garmin cam for the OEM one.
    Super easy mod.

    pull off tailgate skid

    unroute wire harness
    41DA4A71-DD61-4A4A-9D2E-A0943EEF6D7B.jpg
Remove and remount camera, I also had to extend the harness a tad to reach the mount point I wanted on the swing out

now I’ll use the wireless one for a front mount cam to see upcoming obstacles on the trail

How exactly did you extend your factory rear camera? Was that angled bracket the one that came out of the stock tailgate latch area? Looking at getting a rear bumper and don't want to not have my rear camera be blocked so I'll have to relocate it as well. Did you just add more wire length to the existing wires to extend it?

So I left the bracket in the Tailgate and up drilled the center hole with a step bit in a Rago rock light mount I had laying around. For the harness extension I just took some regular r7 20AWG wire and spliced it in close to the large connector under the truck.

It was pretty easy the only reason I had to add length was because I was adding it on the swing out and it had to be mounted where it closes over the top of the license plate

Wow, one of the coolest builds I've seen. Loving your ride height - makes me want to redo my suspension asap.

Thanks man! Honestly if I could do it all over I wouldn’t have gone with the drop bracket lift. It just limits what you can do ie. Skids, long travel ect... I’ve had to find alternate methods to correct my earlier mistakes but it’s played out alright

I've been thinking out getting one of those... Right now I have a cup holder mount for my tablet that I use to track off roading trails, but it gets in the way. I figured this i can mount my cb radio, phone, and tablet in one plate where my knee doesn't hit it

    More than I can afford
No issues with the video quality after the splice job?
I am not a huge fan of where the OEM backup camera wound up on my rear swingout. Just not all that good for much.

    Truck looks fantastic BTW
